Peeps Are So Gross!

First off they are made out of marshmallows. Marshmallows used to be a real food. They were made from mallow roots which are found in marshes. Today many companies no longer make them this way. They are now basically little non-food "chemical puffs". They are made out of: sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, flavors, and dyes. Corn syrup is starting to be known as one of the worst foods on the planet for your health, and gelatin is made from by-products from the meat and leather industry, mainly pork skin, pork and cattle bones, and split cattle hide. Mmmm yummy! This chemical goop is squirted out into what looks like a dropping from a dog that has the runs. It is coated in sugar and sent out into the world. I think that these could outlast roaches. There are peep artists who use them in their work. I think that they are cute, but I'm not going to eat one of them! Yick!
