Inspiring Minds Wanna Know!
So I was talking to a little second grade student of mine the other day and she says, "I want to play an instrument!" Of course I asked which one thinking I must have inspired her in some way. Through the year I've played piano, flute, recorder, and saxophone for my students. She said, "I want to play the saxophone!" I felt so proud knowing that I had planted a wonderful seed with this little girl by playing saxophone during one of her classes last December, and that she MUST want to be like me........WRONG! I said, "That's great!" She then pionted to the wall and said, "Yeah, I want to play saxophone because Snoopy plays it." and then she walked away.

Ok, so I was a little crushed that I had not inspired her with my mad sax skills, but I did paint this"Snoopy Playing The Sax" picture that hangs in the front of my music classroom. I guess after staring at it for eight months it grew on her!
