Crazy Candy Episode I
~

So lately I've been running across really crazy candy. I'm guessing the marketing idea is that the grosser the candy is the more kids will want to have it. I got this apple taffy at the atomic bomb testing museum here in Las Vegas. You can't see it, but on the wrapper it's called a "Sour Apple Chew Bar". I've never heard of a chew bar before! It sounds like something that you give a dog.
~
Anyway this chew bar is "Hazardously Sour" nuclear sludge straight from the toxic waste barrel and is said to be "Created deep in the Secret Laboratory of Prof. Sauernoggin!"...where ever that is. OH wait! The wrapper says that the Laboratory is in Carmel, IN.
~
Now for the taste test! Opening the wrapper.....biting into the green nuclear sludge chew bar.....hey, it's pretty good. I'll let you know if I start to glow or something now!

smiles,
Kathy

My husband and I are both in the vending machine business and I have been to the NAMA and other candy conventions. Your exactly right. The grosser the wrapper the more kids want it these days. The candy doesn't taste much different, but the way the companies put them out there is. I am glad your not glowing!

Oh dear Kathy you fearless wonder, I can't even take the stench of "kid poison". Ewwww, I'm going to check back periodically to make sure you haven't walked into a wall or giggled yourself into a regurgitative fit.
